A little “Seductively Smooth” and Dark in the Yard

To start, this stout has a nice lacy head and a dark color that hints this Ale is heavier than it really is. The aroma is malty with notes of home baked breads and cola. The label describes this stout as “Seductively Smooth” and the label does not lie. The tastes has notes of coffee and chocolate that are not overpowering. The mouthfeel is not overly complex and the finish provides only mildly bitter espresso on the back of the tongue. This may not be the perfect stout, that I am apparently searching for; but this is certainly worthy of additional tastings to see how it stacks up against the rest of the pack.
